  THE “TRADICION DE CALIDAD” BROUGHT TO LIFE
In 1969, a visionary man named, Siegfried Vieluf, founded what is now Cibao Meat Products, a company that manufactures Hispanic meat products. The first product was Salami Campesino Brand and Longaniza Cibao Brand, which became very popular within the Dominican community.
Following in the footsteps of his father, Heinz Vieluf, Sr. became President & Owner of Cibao Meat Products in October 1980. Under his leadership, Cibao Meat Products started to become the company as we know it today. He was able to expand the Cibao product line tenfold and increase production & sales year after year. Eventually, Cibao outgrew its facility located in Washington Heights and had no choice but to move.
In June 1994, the company relocated its production facility to the South Bronx. The new facility at the time was equipped with new and modern machinery, which was able to meet our products’ demands for the next 2 decades & more. During that time, Heinz Vieluf Sr. relinquished his presidential duties to his sister, Lutzi Vieluf Isidor, in order to pursue his political career in the Dominican Republic. In his sister, he saw someone who had the right qualities to run Cibao Meat as he saw fit. With this trust, Lutzi Vieluf Isidor was able to lead the company into continued success. The “Tradicion de Calidad” was always upheld, and she made sure of it.
After many years of success in the Bronx, it was time again to look for a new facility. At this time, Heinz Vieluf, Jr. (VP) took it upon himself to begin the search. He made it his mission & dream to find the perfect facility to meet all Cibao’s current & future needs. The search took a few years, but it proved to be successful. The new & latest facility became ready to begin the transition from the Bronx in the year 2020. Cibao was now able to start moving all departments to the new 74,000 sq ft facility located in Rockaway, NJ, which also includes 8 acres of land total with space for further development.
Due to his success and leadership within Cibao Meat Products, Heinz Vieluf, Jr. was appointed President in the year 2021, following Lutzi Vieluf Isidor’s retirement. Under his leadership, Cibao will make the full transition to the new facility in 2023. This will allow Cibao Meat Products to expand production tremendously, making it capable of continuing to provide our products with excellent service while expanding our product line to service multiple Hispanic communities. Heinz Vieluf, Jr.’s mission is to have Cibao Meat Products become a leading multi-cultural Hispanic meat manufacturer in the country.
