ANTHONY PEÑA VICE PRESIDENT & GALA CHAIRMAN Dear NSA Members, Sponsors, and Honored Guests, It is with great joy and pride that I welcome you to the National Supermarket Association’s 35th Anniversary Gala. This evening is not only a celebration of the incredible journey our association has traveled, but also a testament to the power of unity, perseverance, and community. Over the past 35 years, the NSA has become a cornerstone for independent supermarket operators, and together we have built a legacy that will endure for generations. As Gala Chairman, I have the privilege of highlighting two special honorees tonight whose contributions have been instrumental in shaping the success of our organization. First, I would like to congratulate Iberia on being recognized as our Company of the Year. Their commitment to excellence and unwavering support of our members and the communities we serve make them an exemplary partner. We are grateful for the partnership we share and look forward to continued collaboration. I would also like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to José Arturo Payamps, who has been named Member of the Year. José’s dedication, leadership, and relentless drive embody the values of the NSA. His contributions have not only enriched our association but have also positively impacted the supermarket industry as a whole. Tonight’s celebration is more than just a moment to reflect on the past. It is an opportunity to look forward to the future with excitement and optimism. The challenges we face as independent operators are evolving, but so are the opportunities, and with the strength of our members and the support of our partners, we are ready to meet them head-on. Thank you to all who have contributed to the success of this event and to the continued success of the NSA.
