SENY TAVERAS EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR Dear NSA Members, Friends, and Honored Guests, Welcome to the National Supermarket Association’s 35th Annual Gala! Tonight is a truly special occasion as we celebrate the remarkable journey of our association over the past 35 years. It has been a privilege to serve as Executive Director and to witness firsthand the dedication and commitment of our members, partners, past presidents, and NSA Board members. As we gather tonight, I want to take a moment to extend my warmest congratulations to two exceptional honorees. First, to José Arturo Payamps, our Member of the Year—your hard work, leadership, and passion have made a lasting impact on the NSA and the industry at large. We are proud to honor you for your many contributions. Additionally, it is with great pleasure that we recognize Iberia Foods as our Company of the Year. Your partnership and unwavering support have played a crucial role in advancing the mission of the NSA, and we are deeply appreciative of your contributions and your commitment to continue supporting our causes. I also want to take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to the Board of Directors. Your continued guidance and support have been instrumental in navigating the growth and success of our association. It is your leadership that has helped shape the NSA into the strong, thriving organization it is today. Tonight’s celebration reflects the achievements we have made together and serves as a reminder of the work that still lies ahead. With the support of our members, partners, and communities, I am confident that the NSA’s future is brighter than ever. I would also like to share some of our exciting new initiatives: we have launched the New England Chapter and the NSA Education Program. We continue to host monthly meetings to address our members’ needs by bringing in city, state, and federal agencies that impact our industry, as well as companies showcasing new products. We also continue to support education through our robust Internship Program, shaping tomorrow’s professionals. Our annual events and initiatives, like the NSA Trade Show, NSA Golf Outing, NSA Women’s Forum, and NSA Toy Distribution, continue to grow and thrive each year.
